Côte de Nuits

Côte de Nuits

Côte de Nuits is Burgundy's northern subregion and the spiritual home of the world's greatest Pinot Noir. Stretching from Dijon to Corgoloin, this narrow strip of limestone slopes contains the highest concentration of Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy. The region's mosaic of limestone, marl and clay soils, combined with ideal east-facing exposures, produces wines renowned for their depth, structure, complexity and extraordinary ageing potential.

The Côte de Nuits is home to some of Burgundy's most celebrated villages. Gevrey-Chambertin is known for powerful, structured wines with dark fruit, spice and remarkable longevity. Vougeot, dominated by the legendary Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, combines richness with refined elegance. Further south, villages such as Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges each express their own distinctive interpretation of Pinot Noir, making the Côte de Nuits the benchmark for fine red Burgundy.

Our collection represents the region through carefully selected grower-producers. Domaine Bertrand Bachelet showcases the character of Gevrey-Chambertin through Les Seuvrées, where limestone-rich soils produce Pinot Noir of structure, mineral precision and impressive ageing potential. Domaine de la Vougeraie highlights the diversity of the Côte de Nuits with its Bourgogne Pinot Noir Terres de Famille, offering an introduction to the house style, while Vougeot "Clos du Prieuré Monopole" demonstrates the elegance and complexity of one of Burgundy's historic villages. At the pinnacle of the collection stands Corton Grand Cru "Le Clos du Roi", illustrating the concentration, depth and longevity that define Burgundy's finest terroirs.

Together, these wines demonstrate why Côte de Nuits has become the global benchmark for Pinot Noir. From regional appellations to historic village vineyards and Grand Cru sites, each bottle expresses the remarkable influence of terroir, where even neighbouring parcels can produce profoundly different wines.
