Critics reviews
  • James Suckling 92/100

Bright and more fruit-driven than the vintage wines, this has bright lemon and white-grapefruit aromas, as well as salted almonds. It's fresh, creamy and well balanced with a fine mousse. 100% chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger. From organically grown grapes.

Robert Moncuit

Robert Moncuit

Champagne Robert Moncuit is a family-run estate in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, led today by Pierre Amillet, grandson of the founder. The domaine farms around 8 hectares of Chardonnay in some of the finest sites of the Côte des Blancs, including old vines in Mesnil and Oger, with a clear focus on expressing the purity of these chalk-rich terroirs.

The approach is classic and precise, with fermentation in tank and extended ageing on lees to build texture while preserving freshness and balance. Each cuvée reflects a traditional, terroir-driven style rooted in the identity of Grand Cru Chardonnay.

The wines are refined, mineral, and elegant - true Blanc de Blancs with tension, clarity, and finesse. Robert Moncuit remains a benchmark for authentic, small-scale Champagne from Le Mesnil, valued for its consistency and understated precision.
