Maçanita

Maçanita

Maçanita Vinhos is a dynamic, family-driven project founded by siblings António Maçanita and Joana Maçanita, uniting their shared vision of exploring Portugal’s diverse terroirs. Launched in 2011, the winery focuses primarily on the Douro Valley, working with old vineyards and a wide range of indigenous grape varieties.

Their approach combines deep respect for tradition with a spirit of experimentation, highlighting field blends, high-altitude sites, and the unique character of each parcel. In the cellar, intervention is kept to a minimum, allowing the wines to express purity, balance, and regional identity.

The wines are vibrant, structured, and precise, offering a fresh and contemporary take on classic Douro styles. Maçanita stands as one of Portugal’s most exciting modern producers, bridging heritage and innovation with energy and authenticity.
