Style:
A fresh yet textured expression of Chardonnay, combining limestone-driven minerality with balance, precision, and subtle richness in a classic and elegant white Burgundy style.
Vineyard:
Located in Côte de Beaune, the “Les Pierres Blanches” vineyard is defined by limestone-rich, chalky soils that bring freshness, minerality, and precision. The slopes overlooking Beaune benefit from excellent sun exposure while maintaining balance through the continental climate.
Winery:
Domaine de la Vougeraie farms organically and biodynamically, focusing on purity and terroir expression. Fermentation takes place in both stainless steel and oak barrels, followed by 15–18 months of aging in oak, including a portion of new barrels. Lees aging enhances texture, roundness, and integration while preserving freshness.
Nose/Palate
Citrus, lemon zest, apple, white flowers, mineral and light hazelnut notes on the nose, followed by a medium-bodied palate with vibrant acidity, creamy texture, citrus and orchard fruit flavors, pronounced minerality, and a long, elegant, slightly creamy finish.
