Style:
A powerful, structured, and age-worthy Alentejo red. Concentrated and complex, with a classic profile focused on depth, oak integration, and long aging potential.
Vineyard:
Located in Alentejo, sourced from vineyards planted on schist and granite soils. The warm, dry climate combined with poor soils ensures low yields, concentration, and structure.
Winery:
Hand-harvested grapes, followed by spontaneous fermentation with long maceration. Aged for approximately 24 months in French oak barrels (partially new), with additional time in tank before release, enhancing complexity and integration.
Production:
~3000 bottles.
Nose/Palate:
Blackberries, plums, cocoa, coffee, spice, and subtle earthy notes on the nose, followed by a full-bodied and well-structured palate with ripe black fruit, cocoa, spice, refined oak influence, firm integrated tannins, and a long, dry, persistent finish.
