Style:
A balanced and expressive Alentejo red. Ripe and approachable, combining fruit, spice, and subtle oak with a fresh and elegant profile.
Vineyard:
Located in Alentejo, sourced from vineyards planted on granite (60%) and schist (40%) soils. The vines are cultivated in very poor soils, naturally producing low yields and highly concentrated grapes. The warm, dry climate ensures ripeness while maintaining balance and structure.
Winery:
Hand-harvested grapes followed by spontaneous fermentation and moderate maceration. Aged for approximately 12 months, with 50% in French oak and 50% in stainless steel vats, preserving both fruit purity and subtle complexity
Production:
~50 000 bottles
Nose/Palate:
Ripe black fruit, dried herbs, spice, and subtle earthy notes on the nose, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate with ripe dark fruit, spice, light oak influence, smooth tannins, balanced acidity, and a fresh, elegant, well-rounded finish.
