Vineyard

Located in Blagny, in the Premier Cru “Sous le Puits,” on higher-altitude limestone-rich slopes above Meursault. This cooler site produces wines with freshness, fine structure, and pronounced minerality.

Winery

Hand-harvested grapes, carefully sorted and gently extracted. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels (partially new), enhancing structure while preserving finesse and terroir expression.

Nose/Palate


Red berries, cherry, floral notes, and subtle earthy spice on the nose, followed by a medium-bodied palate with fine tannins, vibrant acidity, fresh red fruit and mineral notes, and a linear, elegant, persistent finish.

Blagny is a small and distinctive Premier Cru terroir in the Côte de Beaune, situated high on the slopes above Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Its elevated position and limestone-rich soils give the wines a particularly fresh, mineral and precise character.

The village is unusual in Burgundy for producing both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with its white wines generally more widely recognised. The higher altitude creates cooler conditions, helping Chardonnay retain vibrant acidity and aromatic definition, while the limestone soils provide a distinctly chalky and saline backbone.

Blagny Chardonnay typically shows lemon, green apple, pear, white flowers and fresh stone fruit, developing almond, hazelnut and subtle pastry notes with age. The palate is refined and energetic, with fine texture, lively acidity and a long mineral finish.

The vineyards of Blagny are closely connected to the great terroirs of Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault, yet their elevated position gives them a distinctly different personality: less opulent, more lifted and mineral-driven.
