Style:
A fresh and vibrant volcanic rosé, combining red fruit with pronounced salinity and mineral character. Light yet structured, with a distinctive Atlantic profile.
Vineyard:
Located on Pico Island (Azores), with vineyards planted in volcanic basalt soils close to the Atlantic Ocean. Extreme maritime conditions, strong winds, and low-yielding vines contribute to freshness, salinity, and mineral intensity.
Winery:
Hand-harvested grapes with short skin contact and gentle extraction. Fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel and aged briefly on lees to enhance texture while preserving freshness and purity.
Production:
~14 000 bottles
Nose/Palate:
Fresh strawberry, cherry, citrus, and subtle iodine notes on the nose, followed by a light to medium-bodied palate with crisp acidity, a saline mineral-driven profile, red berry and citrus flavors, a delicate spicy edge, and a fresh, dry, persistent finish.
